When South Africa was re-admitted to world cricket, the first game was against India in November 1991. The game was played at Eden Gardens, India when over 90,000 watched this match.

Every shot, every spin, every pace, every swing, every six, every four, every wicket, and every match is a reason to celebrate, a reason that brings a smile to a million faces.

In  India, it would not be harmless to say that cricket is something way bigger than a sport. It is the reason, the source of happiness for a lot of the people.

It awakens a feeling of joy, and happiness, of victory, and most importantly of infinite triumph.

Cricket is like a festival in India. Every game is celebrated, each victory gives them joy.

The best part of Indian cricket is THE  CROWD.  irrespective of venue, you will get to see the supporters for the Indian team. Their craving excitement for this sport is amazing.

It is amusing, sort of Inexplainable. Something about this sport makes it so special, almost a religion. . Maybe it is the spirit of the game.

I wish to conclude with a famous poem about the game of cricket.

“You have two sides,

one out in the field and one in.

Each man that’s in the side that’s in goes out,

and when he’s out he comes in,

and the next man goes in until he’s out.

When they are all out,

the side that’s out comes in,

and the side that’s been in goes out,

and tries to get out those coming in.

Sometimes you get men still in and not out.

When both sides have been in and out,

including the not outs,

the winner is declared…..if there is one!
