So much has been written and talked about 2020 and how it has affected everyone’s lives. In previous newsletters, I wrote about Health, Happiness, and Appreciation, and Spring Cleaning with respect to lockdown. In our July 2020 issue, we dealt with coping with life under Covid-19. For this article, I will cover some of the things I have missed since lockdown and how I try to cope with them in a positive manner.
I will cover four of the important activities I have missed.
- Not being able to see family and close friends especially in the first few months of lockdown. With the advancement of technology, I have at least been able to remain in regular digital communication.
- Unable to visit our son and daughter who live in the UK. In September 2020 Vicky and Gareth had their first child. Hopefully, we will be able to visit them once restrictions are lifted.
- Not being able to attend gym regularly. Fortunately, we have been able to spend plenty of time in our garden and go for a walk around our neighbourhood now and again.
- We used to enjoy having breakfast each Saturday morning, which we missed. Thankfully, we are able to enjoy these outings, again which are even more satisfying.
Hopefully, a cure for Covid-19 will be discovered soon, so we can all get back to living normally. In the meantime, let’s be grateful for what we have and ever mindful of the people, who are less fortunate than ourselves.
